Gervin Figurine Proceeds To Benefit George Gervin Youth Center

Baltimore, MD – Sports memorabilia enthusiasts will have exclusive access to purchasing the limited edition, autographed figurine of Hall of Famer George “The Iceman” Gervin during the National Sports Collectors Convention (NSCC) taking place this Aug. 4 to Aug. 8 at the Baltimore Convention Center. Created by McFarlane Toys, the collector’s item can be purchased at the Babaie Promotions, Inc. (BPI) corporate booth, #2317. Gervin’s execution of the legendary “finger roll” is dynamically captured in the unique figurine, which features Gervin in his ABA Spurs uniform executing his iconic move with the red, white and blue ABA ball. Proceeds from the collector’s item are benefiting the George Gervin Youth Center (GGYC), which provides a wide variety of services to thousands of San Antonio’s at-risk youth and their families.

“I am confident that NSCC attendees will be very happy with the design and quality of the Iceman figurine,” said Gervin. “In addition to adding to their incredible sports memorabilia collections, those who purchase the figurine are directly benefiting the GGYC. In partnership with BPI, Gervin commissioned McFarlane Toys to create the figurine to raise funds that will enhance the GGYC’s existing programs, including YouthBuild San Antonio, the Comprehensive Youth Development Program, the Transitional Living Program, the George Gervin Academy, as well as its daycare and technology centers.
